What messages you receive
RemindRelay is an escalating reminder app. When a reminder goes unacknowledged, it can step up across channels you chose in advance. One of those channels is SMS. If you have consented to SMS, you may receive:
- Reminder alerts — a text for a reminder you set for yourself.
- Escalation alerts — a text because someone designated you as a person to notify when their reminder is missed, and you accepted and consented to be reached by SMS.
RemindRelay does not send marketing or promotional text messages. SMS is used only for the transactional reminder and escalation alerts described above.
How you opt in
Consent is given by the person who will actually receive the messages — never by a third party on their behalf. Inside the RemindRelay app, on the “How I’m notified” screen, you add your own phone number, choose SMS, and tap to agree to the consent statement below. SMS consent is specific, explicit, and optional: it is never bundled with other agreements, and it is never a condition of using the app or of any purchase.
The consent you agree to
This is the exact statement shown in the app at the moment you opt in:
“I agree to receive automated reminder and escalation alerts from RemindRelay at the number above. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. We will not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
Message frequency & rates
Message frequency varies and depends on the reminders and escalations you or others configure. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. RemindRelay does not charge you for the messages themselves.
How to opt out (STOP)
You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any RemindRelay text message. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts unless you opt back in. You can also turn SMS off, or remove your number, on the “How I’m notified” screen in the app. Reply START to opt back in.
How to get help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any RemindRelay text message for assistance, or contact us at hello@remindrelay.com.
Your mobile information is never shared
We will not share your mobile information — including your phone number and SMS opt-in consent data — with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, or shared with any third party.
For full details on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy. Your use of RemindRelay is also governed by our Terms of Service.
RemindRelay is a productivity and accountability tool. It is not a medical device, not emergency monitoring, and message delivery over carrier networks is best-effort and never guaranteed. Do not rely on SMS for safety-critical alerting.
